Whether you are a nonprofit reaching out to a volunteer, or rather a volunteer looking for answers about a specific program, communication is the key to finding the best match for an opportunity.
In order to get to your message inbox, you need to login and then click on the envelope sign on the top banner. Here you will find all of your messages (inbox and sent).
Please note that you cannot send out messages to volunteers unless they message you or apply first.
Please note that you will also receive emails when volunteers apply and send messages to your profile. In this email you will see a link and this will direct you to either their application or to an empty box where you can reply to the volunteer's message.
After your "Approve" or "Decline", the volunteer at this point has the opportunity to "Confirm" their placement. This signifies that their plans are set and will see you according to their dates.
I am a nonprofit, and I changed my mind about the opportunity. What can I do?
In this case, it is under the nonprofit's responsibility to make sure their decision is communicated directly with the volunteer through their GivingWay profile.
The nonprofit can also refer back to your previous messages - there, clicking on the orange REPLY button.
